    Abstract
    Kenya Education Network (KENET) is the National Research and Education Network of Kenya. It promotes the use of ICT in Teaching, Learning and Research in Higher Education Institutions in Kenya. This includes building the technical and campus networks engineering capacity of the higher education institutions in Kenya. This paper seeks to highlight the areas of focus of technical capacity building at KENET, the training calendar as well as discussing what it takes to plan, execute and sustain a training program. It will also highlight the impact of the training courses in the past five years.
